Telehealth is now available

North Road Medical is functioning as usual, and now have Telehealth consultations available to all our patients.

The Federal Government has introduced Telehealth consultations to prevent the spread of coronavirus in general practices. With these new temporary MBS Telehealth items it allows the clinic to continue to deliver essential health care services to all our patients.

These patients will be bulk billed*:

  • are under 16 years old,
  • are pregnant,
  • are over 70 years old,
  • are being treated for a chronic health condition,
  • are a parent of a child aged under 12 months.

* Patient must hold a valid Medicare card or DVA card.

All other Telehealth consults will be privately billed and will be eligible for a rebate.

The private fee structure, as below, applies from Monday 20th April 2020:

All other consultations will be approximately $32.00 out of pocket, ie mental health consultations.
These fees will be charges at the discretion of your doctor, please discuss this with your doctor at the time of your Telehealth consultation.

NORTH ROAD MEDICAL will continue to provide information to our patients about the vaccine rollout when we know if we have been selected to give the vaccine.

In the rollout, COVID-19 vaccines will be available in phases. Groups of people get the vaccination at different times.

The groups are Phase 1a, Phase 1b, Phase 2a, Phase 2b and Phase 3.
